DIY - Basing With Sand

Just a little video on how I go about basing my models.

I find some sand in the back yard, make sure its fine sand. Bake the sand at about 225'F to kill any nasties in it. I'll water down some glue and brush it on the base then dip the model's base into the sand. Shake off the excess and you're done. Paint it up add some green stuff vines if you like, have fun with it! remember to try this before you base coat your models makes life much easier.

So here are my first two squads repainted. Wow this it taking a little longer then I expected but I'm really happy with the result. Just have to finish the eyes.

Game Summit 2010!

Just a quick video of the 2010 Game Summit in Ottawa Ontario!!

Game summit 2010 Apoc Battle 50k!

Here is the Midnight Apocalypse battle @ the Game Summit I've run for the past 3 years. First year we had about 16 K, Second year we had about 30k This year we had 50,000!!!!!! The battle was to end the Locara campaign. Xenos won!

If it wasn't for the Dark Eldar stratagem we would have had a much harder time.

The New Colours of Anasinia

So I've finally found a colour scheme I like. I'm priming black, painting shadow grey and dry brushing ice blue. For the gems I'm using scorpion green and a mix of scorpion green and space wolf grey. The face plates are space wolf grey and the bases are bestial brown with a dry brush mix of bestial brown and space wolf grey.

THUNDERHAWK DOWN

I found this trolling around the web and found it rather interesting. It covers all armies and has some great rules involved in it. Big_Willie from DeepSpace calls it a mix of 40k and necromunda. I'm looking forward to play testing it.

Introduction
The Imperial hiveworld of Icarus Prime, once located in the Agrippinaa system, a mere handful of light years from the Eye of Terror, mysteriously disappeared in the year 850.M41. Ninety-nine years later, sporadic reports of a world matching its atmospheric signature appeared deep within the Eastern Fringe, near Tau space and directly in the path of HiveFleet Leviathan. Forces from all over the Eastern fringe are being dispatched to investigate the ruins of this once mighty hiveworld.

Welcome to Thunderhawk Down:
Generally speaking, the rules for Warhammer 40,000 are used for this game. While the final version will be more complete, for now assume that the normal 40k rules apply with the following additions. Hopefully you will enjoy playing this game as much as we did putting it together. At this early stage, we want constructive criticism on everything. We want additional ideas. We want ways to improve on what we have begun here.
