I find some sand in the back yard, make sure its fine sand. Bake the sand at about 225'F to kill any nasties in it. I'll water down some glue and brush it on the base then dip the model's base into the sand. Shake off the excess and you're done. Paint it up add some green stuff vines if you like, have fun with it! remember to try this before you base coat your models makes life much easier.

If it wasn't for the Dark Eldar stratagem we would have had a much harder time.
So I've finally found a colour scheme I like. I'm priming black, painting shadow grey and dry brushing ice blue. For the gems I'm using scorpion green and a mix of scorpion green and space wolf grey. The face plates are space wolf grey and the bases are bestial brown with a dry brush mix of bestial brown and space wolf grey.

The Imperial hiveworld of Icarus Prime, once located in the Agrippinaa system, a mere handful of light years from the Eye of Terror, mysteriously disappeared in the year 850.M41. Ninety-nine years later, sporadic reports of a world matching its atmospheric signature appeared deep within the Eastern Fringe, near Tau space and directly in the path of HiveFleet Leviathan. Forces from all over the Eastern fringe are being dispatched to investigate the ruins of this once mighty hiveworld.
Welcome to Thunderhawk Down:
Generally speaking, the rules for Warhammer 40,000 are used for this game. While the final version will be more complete, for now assume that the normal 40k rules apply with the following additions. Hopefully you will enjoy playing this game as much as we did putting it together. At this early stage, we want constructive criticism on everything. We want additional ideas. We want ways to improve on what we have begun here.

The Anasinia drifted quietly in the shadows of Ulthwe awaiting her Farseer to return from a meeting with the Craftworlds seer council. Krish’el stood emotionless as the order to leave the Craftworld was given. She understood the purpose and importance of her mission but detested the thought of leaving her quest unfinished. Turning the young Farseer left for her waveserpent feeling in her heart this was the right thing to do.
A short time later aboard the Anasinia, an Eldar eclipse cruiser, Krish’el met with her two closest generals. Sha'eil, he who strikes from the warp was the only Autarch aboard the cruiser and led the aspect warriors of the host. Anastari the cast out, once warlock of Saim Hann was rescued by the Anasinia’s Eldar when her bike unit was nearly wiped out. Now a Farseer she and the remainder of her unit joined their Uthwe kin to repay the debt. Realizing they may never return to Saim Hann for risk of being declared tainted, as many regard those from Ulthwe because of their proximity to the Eye of Terror.
Sha'eil was first to speak, “Are we free to continue our search?”
Krish’el shook her head, “No, we’ve been ordered to cease our efforts and move to an area of space the Mon-keigh call Locara.”
“Why, Locara?” Anastari asked as she looked to the table glancing over the webway map.
Sha'eil took Anastari’s hand and placed it over the map both felt their hands move as if drawn towards an area labeled in the tongue of the Mon-keigh, “Can you not feel the pull, as if something is calls us there?” Anastari looked shocked still new to her growing powers.
Sha'eil’s face grew grim, “The Mon-keigh are already there, as are many others. We need to answer this call and stop them from uncovering any of Locara’s secrets.” With little else said the three parted to prepare the crew for long journey.
This is my submission for the Locara Achievement 29. Mighter than the Sword.

I was out shopping and found some stuff that may have me making a Tyranid army.. :O The purple eggs could be made into mycetic spores and this big fellow could be pulled apart and made into a hierophant but I'm not sure yet. Maybe I'll just try and sell them to buy more Eldar stuff :D
